There are times when sanding or the current condition of your floor just can't be fixed.  At Scotia Floor Care we have been industry trained to replace or install most hardwood.  In the case of the above photo the client's floor was used as a sub floor and could not be salvaged.  We installed and finished a new pine floor over it.  We used local products as well. 

As for other repairs, most flooring can be fixed.  It really is about what you want your floor to look like.
